Position: Environmental Planner/Project Manager
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of CEQA/NEPA professional experience is required and a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Planning or related field. A strong understanding of the “technical” CEQA sections (e.g., air quality, noise, traffic, hydrology, and hazardous materials) is required. Experience managing CEQA/NEPA infrastructure projects (e.g., tunnel, pipeline, dam, landfill, and mining projects) is required. Experience with environmental permitting preferred.
Job Description: BASELINE is both a prime consultant for the preparation of CEQA/NEPA documents (mainly for infrastructure projects) and a subconsultant to other planning firms for the preparation of technical sections for all kinds of projects. This position would include opportunities to participate in both areas. The ideal candidate will manage and assist in preparation of a wide range environmental documents, including EIRs, IS/MNDs, EISs, and EAs. You will write various sections of environmental documents and review/edit other sections prepared by technical specialists.
This position is open in our Emeryville office. Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail are required. The position requires a self-directed and independent worker who also enjoys working in a team environment. We are looking for an individual who is eager to take on new challenges.
