Construction Oversight and Environmental Monitoring
BASELINE works as an integral part of construction management teams to provide environmental services as well as providing oversight of compliance with permits and mitigation monitoring programs. BASELINE also provides full-time environmental inspectors for major public works projects; at these projects, we ensure that the environmental permit conditions are implemented and also ensure that the mitigation measures from CEQA/NEPA documents are performed. As environmental inspectors/monitors, we work closely with the contractors to minimize violations and to resolve conflicts. Recent major projects include:
- New Irvington Tunnel Construction Management Team, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Sunol, CA – BASELINE is the lead on managing water supply issues with residents near the tunnel alignment.
- 34th America’s Cup, Port of San Francisco, CA – BASELINE provides environmental monitoring for numerous improvements along the waterfront in accordance with an Environmental Protection Plan, and
- Third Street Light Rail Project for San Francisco Department of Public Works, CA – BASELINE was the environmental inspector for a five-mile alignment along Third Street and conducted air and noise sampling, inspected adherence to stormwater management requirements, and inspected soil management activities.
